St Matthew's RC High School and Newall Green High School form part of the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) initiative. The aim of BSF is to rebuild or renew every secondary school in England over a 10-15 year period. Within this, funding has been secured for 9 secondary & 7 Special Educational Needs schools in the first wave of the Manchester BSF all of which are being delivered by Balfour Beatty and Laing O'Rourke.
