Broughton Green is the first community regeneration program to take shape in Salford. A seven year development program delivering 700 homes, Broughton Green aims to enhance and sit alongside the established residential marketplace, providing real benefits to the area. The houses and apartments that will be created here will serve the needs of the growing population as well as enabling the community to embrace new residents. These homes have been designed for households to live in and flourish, catering for everyone from young families to single retirees. It is one of the most exciting projects taking place in the North West of England, proposing to establish a sustainable new community with a wide range of mixed tenure homes, intertwined with comprehensive community facilities and services. The development ranges from one bedroom apartments to seven bedroom houses, whilst also enhancing the shopping, sports and recreational facilities in the area. Broughton green boasts a number of pioneering initiatives, such as garages and parking spaces under gardens, a road scheme designed to remove traffic from 50% of the street to allow children to play outside in safety and yet in view of their homes, as well as private gardens on different levels.
