Building Awards 2004

Marlborough takes third place for Specialist Contractor of the Year at the Building Awards 2004.

Following our success at the Brick Awards 2002 and 2003, Marlborough is delighted to have been a finalist for this category at the Building Awards.

Similarly to Marlborough the Building Awards have been running for ten years and is the biggest gathering in the construction calendar. The best in the business were rewarded for their outstanding performance over the past year at the Awards Ceremony in April 2004.

The hundreds of entries were initially vetted by the Chairman of four judging panels, who draw up the shortlist of five for each category. Shortlists were compiled based on a 500-word supporting statement and answers to 7 questions regarding our company’s approach to a number of industry and organisation issues.

The glittering event, at the Grosvenor House Hotel, was hosted by Angus Deaton and boasted 1700 attendees made up of the cream of the construction industry. Marlborough took a group of ten to the event including Site Management, Directors and Estimators and the experience was a great team-builder.

By taking third place Marlborough has proved its ability to compete with the elite in the industry and is justly proud of the hard work and commitment invested to make the business the market leader it is today.
