Located in the grounds of York University, Alcuin College was formally opened in October 1969 by the Rt. Hon. Lord Clark CH, Chancellor of the University at that time and was the third of the university's eight colleges. With the college set to expand its student intake in October 2005, main contractor Clugston awarded Marlborough this major project, which comprises an additional 290 new en-suite study bedrooms in 6 accomodation blocks of both 3 & 4 storey construction.
